Good morning all you Fruitcakes!

Glorious morning in paradise!
The stuff travel brochures are made of!
Late post today as my offspring are all under one roof again for the weekend and they were up late entertaining the mother with their antics.
A savage pillow fight almost ensued.
You don’t even want to know the details…..
Anyway, Mr. J.B. is coming to town tonight and we are giddy !!!!!!
That is Mr. Jimmy Buffett to all of you folks who don’t understand the initial reference and he is appearing in the Viejas Arena at San Diego State University.
For any of you who have never witnessed the phenomenon of a Jimmy Buffett party it is something you would never forget.
Contrary to popular belief he is not just the “Wasting Away in Margaritaville” one hit wonder, but someone who I consider to be one of the best songwriters and performers in the history of American music.
He truly loves what he does and it shows in his connection with his audience and fans.
If you have never seen him perform, you have missed out.
It should be on your "Bucket List."
He is just plain joyful and loves life and that is rare in the world that we live in.
We plan on going to the concert.
Unfortunately, we don’t have tickets….
That is due to the “Evil Ticketmaster Machine” who gobbles up all the tix within 5 seconds of them opening up the order lines.
Because this is a family blog I will just say,
I hate them.
For the last bojillion years ,whenever I have wanted to see “Mr. Margaritaville”, I have had to resort to dealing with the scalpers.
For some reason this excites me.
Scruffy dudes with black overcoats and dark sunglasses.....
Bring it on!
And so far, I have never been unsuccessful.
The closest call I ever had for non-concert viewing was at 10 minutes to curtain when I managed to get 6th row tickets which were released by the box office.
Take that evil ticket stealers!
So today we will journey to Qualcomm Stadium on the Trolley, submerge ourselves in the massive pre-concert tailgate party which is going on there and hope for the best.
I will have my “Scalper Radar” on full alert and we will mingle with the “Parrotheads”, put on a grass skirt and dance in our coconut bras.
Cross your fingers for us and wish us happy hunting in our quest for the  “Golden Tickets.”
Now where can I put my wallet in this grass skirt?
…….I’m just sayin’

  1. Love this Sister, I hoping to bring a really old t-shirt (lots of holes and quite faded) to see if I can sell it to some Parrothead that has peaked too soon on margaritas. Date on it says "May 15, 1977" and picture of Jimmy with hair. Do you think I can get $50 for it, that would help to pay for a few boat drinks for us, eh?
